Sorry Kerry

Dan Riehl apologizes to John Kerry for making fun of him being snubbed by the troops. Turns out, Dan notes, Kerry wasn't being snubbed by the troops. He just prefered to dine with the Times. Dan cruelly goes on to note that Kerry has a history of spending as little time with the troops in combat zones as possible.

Kerry spent more time in combat zones than Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Blair, Howard and Harper combined...what does that say aboout them?

And yet, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Blair, Howard, and Harper have no trouble talking to the troops and being accepted by them.

Kerry, OTOH, obviously prefers not to dine with peepul hu R dumer then him.

The troops are ordered to attend the photo ops...

You mean like when cops are ordered to attend things like gun control legislation signings and such even when they don't necessarily agree?

The real dummy here is folks who keep telling the same lies. There are photos of Kerry with the troops in Iraq, and he's seen to it that a lot of legislation to help the troops and veterans has passed over the years. While conservatives may not want to admit to that, the legislative records are available and I would be happy to provide you with links. It's one thing to dislike someone, but another all together to tell lies about them because you dislike them. It's a habit all too prevelent with conservative bloggers and columnists, like our friend Mr. Crittenden. It takes a big person to admit they are wrong. I see a lot of small people in the conservative blogosphere.

Yes, it's a known fact that the troops "have to" be front and center for photo ops with the Commander in Chief when ordered. Whther they agree with his policies or not.

But, most of us do agree. Hey, you can see it on CNN's Wounded Warriors special. These are guys who've lost their legs or suffered horrible injuries and all they want is to get back into the fight. If you honestly think Marines and Army men don't want to sit in front of the president then you my friend are deluded.

I'm Navy and I get enough interaction with both Marines and Sailors who've gone over to Iraq to have maybe just the tiniest inkling of how people feel about the war and towards the president. As for Kerry, only the most naive Democrats among us actually entertained the idea that J.K. was NOT insulting us with his poorly thought-out "joke".

Show me one picture of Kerry surrounded by smiling faces and I'll show you one hell of a photoshop.

The troops support those who support them and defend the rest.
