Ynet is reporting that rabid Ramin, a top Ahmadinejad aide, says Hitler was a Jew and founded Israel. MEMRI post here. Ramin's a repeat guest at MEMRI. You'll remember him as the guy who will head the big World Foundation for Holocaust Studies in Berlin that the Iranians are planning.
It's a neat bit of anti-Semitic Holocaust-denying gymnastics. It works like this: even though the Holocaust never happened, any regretable murder of Jews in World War II was a Jewish plot. And the Israelis are Nazis.
There are in fact some plausible theories out there that Hitler had Jewish blood, probably like a lot of his fellow Aryans, and that this was tied up in their self-loathing murder thing. Ramin isn't ready to go that quite far, seeing instead a more benevolent Hitler who, heavily influenced by Britain and all the Jews in his life, engineered World War II as a means to shoving all of Europe's Jews off on Palestine.
I can see this really taking off in various Palo-symp, push-them-into-the-sea circles, where they already call the Israelis Nazis. Now it's firm historical basis has been established by a premier Jew-hating Iranian whackjob.

I equate this with another story anti-Semites have used over the centuries to demonize Jews: that Jews use the blood of Christian babies in the Passover matzoh. It's equally preposterous and equally damaging.

Are you referring to the resent holocaust meeting in Iran?
Iran should have grate pride for opening debate on this issue, as the west seems to be making similar mistakes to pre war Germany. The conference was more about free speech than anything else and the inclusions of ppl like David Duke highlighted the stupidity of the nationalist view, which is currently the greatest threat to Iran. Real debate and truth can only be achieved through full discloser of all opinion no mater how repulsive.
This conference had nothing to do will the denial of the holocaust although some ppl did present that view, these ppl were in a very small minority. I have personally read many transcripts from the conference as well as being in contact with two Iranians that attended this historic event. Many orthodox Jews attended this conference and the rabbi’s from New York based Jews against Zionism created much excitement. The main body of the conference consisted of lectors on the situation leading up to the creation of Israel and different justifications for the establishment of that state.
The Iranian government organized this conference for the sole purpose of open discussions but has not and will not draw any conclusions about the holocaust or any other particular viewpoint. Iran has never denied the holocaust they have only ever highlighted the forgotten 60 million non-Jewish deaths in context with the amount of publicity the holocaust receives.
