Ayman Crows

Supposedly, Ayman al-Zawahiri's recent taped message claims credit for the midterm elections and says this to the Democrats:

"... you aren't the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen -- the Muslim Ummah's vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq -- are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost"

That's funny. I have it on good authority what he actually said was this. Then he says, come talk to us. The scary part is, there are people who might do that. Fortunately none of them are president.

Jawa: "The Democrats can't get away from their allies, can they?"

Ace predicts grudging coverage and Kerry on a flight to Islamabad.

Dan Riehl: If the Democrats had the slightest bit of back bone to offer in support of the war on terror, you'd think some Democrat leader would immediately want to take this head on. Unfortunately, they can't really do that, perhaps because to a good extent, it's true.

Hot Air: AQ isn't happy about all this surge talk. "They want to sweeten the pot for withdrawal."

Powerline stifles a yawn and listens:"You could say that Zawahiri is a blowhard, but that would be a disservice to the blowhards of the world ... I read it all, so you won't have to. There are a few interesting bits. Hinderaker sacrifices himself to give us a good roundup. No greater love ...

But if you really need it all, here it is.

I see this as an indication AQ is on the ropes.

If the Democrats were listening, they'd be embarrassed.

Larwyn had an interesting idea:
why not give credit where credit's due? The State Department should issue 'safe passage Visas' to Zawahiri, Ahmadinejad, etc. so that they can celebrate at Pelosi's party...
